I definitely like nonante much better... So do people in France not understand people from Belgium when they say number involving 90?

Sandra- I hope that the bra fits well, I'm getting it because I have just bought some tops where I need to the bra to strap around my neck as opposed over my shoulders. I don't know about that whole around the torso thing? Weird.

Asked J about this and he snickered a little and said *he* would understand a Belgian or a Swiss when they say nonante. He thinks it makes better sense than quatre-vingt-dix. I think that the Belgians, the Swiss and the Candians (not sure) say nonant and so on and then French are the only ones who do not... my theory? The French are just being difficult... just being French. Just like the Conjugate This article illustrates. And I love it...haha. :)

If I could wave a magic wand and be fluent in one language, it would be French. But, if I was given $$ to study a language, French would not be anywhere near the top of my list. Too many letters and syllables are just passed over, and I will never be able to get my mouth into the necessary contortions to pronounce anything correctly. But it is beautiful to hear.
BTW: a comfortable, functional bra is like the Holy Grail....but I suppose there are enough lingerie stores around you to find something that will work. Good luck!

I was just saying to myself yesterday that I think it's time to go bra shopping. I like that convertible bra.

oddly enough, nonante is a japanese word.
(just kidding, but wouldn't it be funny if it was?
