Forget the housework today and let myself lay. I am laying down listening to Max's sleepy mumbles as he falls off to sleep. I've got to keep things simple. And remember it is ok to rest.

Exactly. If you don't rest, there will be no energy for all you must do. When you stop to feed your soul (which sleep and good books definitely feed your soul) you are recharging...for all that lies ahead of you.
Totally OK -- and very GOOD -- to rest! I understand that one. And boy, have I done it often enough! I have sacrificed the housework more times than I can remember, to my chagrin (and I shouldn't admit that too often, because people are going to think I'm a REAL slob, but I'm SO BAD at housework!).
I'm reading a great book right now too, but Eat Pray Love was one of those books I wanted to buy while back in the U.S., and has been on my list for a while. I know I'm going to have to read it one of these days!
I'm currently reading the same book! Although it will take a long while to finish it. But so far it's been a great read. Inspiring too. Have fun and rest!
One of my visiting friends, who's homebasing it here, (now in Italy) is reading that. She likes it. I might steal it from her on her way out, for an airplane read to our vacation....
Rest up. It can't be easy....hugs coming toward you and looking forward to a visit.
I'm in India this week, reading the same book too.
You are so right to rest when you can - though I know it's not easy with all the new things you are juggling. These are early days yet (not even two weeks!) but you will find your feet in time, I know you will.
So chase that dream of yours - and go for it!

AAH! I'm reading that too instead of catching up on..everything. The first chapter hit me hard. Anyway, I have no words advice on how to juggle it all, except that I don't think it's ever easy and we are inevitably torn between trying to decide what is best for us as mothers and what is best for us as women, which is an impossible task, since they are too interlinked for us to clearly define any boundaries that might help us make life clearer.
Wise choise. Replenishing your reserve is one of the best things you can do for your family.

Enjoy your rest -- you deserve it, girl! :-)

Another one reading this;) I'm still in Italy and frankly, don't want to leave . . . I'm already sad this book has to come to an end.
You deserve this rest. This book will help your mind and body go on a mini-vacation, right there in your own home.
